We are now looking for a Government Affairs Lead
In this role you will be leading the external affairs agenda for GSK pharma and vaccines, ensuring long term relationships with key stakeholders such as professional bodies, patient organisations and governmental officials and bodies. You will develop and drive the local strategy for external affairs working proactively with stakeholders both externally and within GSK. This role will be a member of the Finnish Leadership Team and will report to General Manager in Finland. This role requires an effective leader to work in a matrix organisation in the GSK Nordic Cluster and will need to work closely with the leadership team and communications manager and show excellent teamwork and accountability.
The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the changing environment in healthcare, public financial system and pharmaceutical regulation as well as the roles of politicians, payers and patients. In addition, it would be ideal to have some knowledge of the National Immunisation Programme and public procurement, with a passion for disease prevention. You will need to be able to translate these complex settings into clear messages and build trust by carefully engaging with stakeholders.
We are looking for a person with an external and customer facing mindset, business understanding, as well as ambition and drive to deliver continuous improvement. Your strong understanding of the healthcare sector is based on master’s level education and several years of work experience in a relevant field. You have a genuine interest to find insight and proactively provide perspective to influence complex networks and shape the future of GSK.
